Virat Kohli wins ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the year

It goes to none other than Virat Kohli! 


Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli won the ICC ODI Player of the Year title for the fourth time after setting a new standard during the 2023 World Cup. Having won the prize in 2012, 2017, and 2018, Kohli is one of the four finalists for the 2023 ICC Cricketer of the Year award.

Notably, Kohli has surpassed AB de Villiers' three titles to become the first cricketer to win this trophy four times in history. Following up his 2022 return, Virat Kohli had an incredible 2023, winning Player of the Tournament in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.




The Government of India  awarded Kohli the Arjuna Award in 2013, which is the country's second-highest athletic accolade. India's fourth-highest civilian honor, the Padma Shri, was bestowed upon Kohli in 2017. India's top athletic accolade, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award (now known as the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award), was given to him in 2018. In 2019, a stand at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium was christened in Kohli's honor. Besides won the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year in 2012, 2017, and 2018,Virat Kohli also won ICC Test Player of the Year in 2018.
