Regular flights from Kochi provide good connectivity to the islands. Agatti to Kavaratti helicopter transfer is accessible all year round. The average temperature in Lakshadweep, which has a tropical climate, ranges from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius. The warmest months are April and May, when the average temperature is 32° C. In general, the weather is warm, muggy, and comfortable.The best months to visit the islands are October through March.

| How To Reach Lakshadweep? 

Lakshadweep Island is accessible from Kochi via aircraft and ships. For travelers, Kochi serves as the entry point to Lakshadweep.

Kochi is the starting point for flights to Agatti and Bangaram islands. Flights are operated from Kochi by Indian Airlines. The majority of airports in India and outside are served by aircraft that continue from Kochi. The airstrip is located solely on Agatti Island. During the fair season (October to May), boats are available from Agatti to Kavaratti and Kadmat. During the monsoon season, helicopter transportation is provided from Agatti to Kavaratti, contingent upon helicopter availability. It takes about one hour and thirty minutes to fly from Cochin to Agatti.

1. Kalpeni

One unusual aspect of Kalpeni is the massive coral debris storm bank that runs along its eastern and southeast shorelines.

The large lagoon offers swimming, snorkeling, reef walking, and water activities on kayaks, sailboats, and pedal boats. Koomel Beach has two bathing huts with changing rooms. A trip to Kalpeni is included in the Coral Reef package.

2. Minicoy

One of Minicoy's biggest lagoons is bordered on the south by the small, deserted islet of Viringili.

The island of Minicoy is a major hub for tuna fishing, with the catch being processed by a tuna-canning facility. An impressive landmark, this 300-foot-tall lighthouse was constructed by the British in 1885. There are bathing huts with changing rooms and water sport equipment on the beaches. For those who choose to remain overnight, three tourist cottages and one 20-bed tourist house have been built. Packages for Coral Reef and Swaying Palm include a visit to Minicoy.

3. Agatti

One of Lakshadweep's most exquisite lagoons is located at Agatti. This island is where the airport is located. The view of the island's airfield is breathtaking as one approaches the airplane for a landing. The digital entryway to the islands is Agatti. Here is a 20-bed tourist complex equipped with every modern convenience. Agatti is one of the easiest islands in Lakshadweep to reach thanks to flights operated by Indian Airlines.


4. Kavaratti

The most developed island is Kavaratti, which also serves as the administration's headquarters. 

The serene, lovely lagoon is the perfect place for swimming, snorkeling, and water sports. Spending time on the beach, whether tanning or just relaxing, can be rather intoxicating. Enthusiasts of marine life can visit the marine aquarium, which features a superb assortment of aquatic specimens.

Glass-bottom boats provide an excellent way to see the lagoons' colorful underwater life. Sailing boats, wind surfers, and kayaks can all be rented. A popular destination for scuba divers is the Dolphin Dive Centre.


5. Bangaram

Situated near Agatti and Kavaratti, Bangaram is a small island resembling a teardrop. Visitors to this island's tourist resort have a fantastic opportunity to decompress from the stresses and strains of contemporary life. 

The beach is completely mesmerizing when it is lit up at night by phosphorescent plankton that has washed up on the coral sands. 

Bangaram has earned its foothold in the international tourism map as a suitable resort for discerning premium tourists.


6. Kadmat

The extensive, sandy beaches and sandbanks on the southernmost point are the primary draws. It is possible to take in the unspoiled beauty of the ecosystem from tourist huts situated amid palm groves that face the lagoon. You can rent glass-bottom boats, kayaks, pedal boats, sailing boats, and skiing boats. On the island lies a Water Sports Institute. 

Kadmat has become one of India's most exquisite dive sites. It is a unique diving location for scuba divers because of the variety of fish, including sharks and rays, and the crystal-clear water with visibility of 20 to 50 meters.

The southernmost island in the Lakshadweep group is called Minicoy. 

An enormous lagoon is on the western side of this crescent-shaped island.

Minicoy is a significant hub for the tuna fishing industry.

There is a 20-bed resort there to accommodate tourists and divers. There are also independent vacation rentals on the island.


2. Water Sports

For those who enjoy water activities, the wide stretches of the shallow lagoons offer the perfect environment. For those who want to enjoy water activities in the clean lagoons, all of the islands included in the different tourism packages include kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, sail boats, wind surfers, snorkel sets, glass-bottomed boats, and other amenities. 

Local boats with experienced crew can be hired.


3. Dolphin Dive Center, Kavaratti

Beginner scuba divers will love the island's stunning, serene lagoon. The open sea beyond the reef is just as stunning. Conveniently situated near the entrance at the northern extremity of the island is the dive facility. As a result, diving areas may be reached quickly and easily from the dive center. There is a 10-bed resort on the island that caters to divers.

Dive Spots: Huge sea fans, giant triveli, and gorgonians abound in Harbour Mouth, which is fairly near the entry. Like smart Zing Zing Par in the southern tip, which is well-known for its large sharks and schooling barracuda spotted eagle rays. A dive at Governors Reef offers an education on the various kinds of soft corals, particularly those with striking red colors. Amazing cave diving is available at Wall of Wonder, which lies on the island's northwest coast. The variety of turtles at Turtle Nest makes a dive there worthwhile. At Wind Mill Point, one can make eye contact with grey reef sharks, spotted rays, bat fish, and numerous groupers.

4. The Kadmat Scuba Diving Centre

One of India's most stunning dive sites is Kadmat. 

The abundance of marine life and the pristine water further contribute to Kadmat's natural attractiveness. The island appears emerald against the vastness of the blue water. The massive, quiet, shallow lagoon on one side is protected from the approaching outer sea swells by a wall-like reef composed of living marine coral rocks.

 Scuba divers will find it to be an unforgettable place to dive because of the clear water, 20–50 meter visibility, and variety of fish, including groupers, rays, sharks, shoaling jacks, fusiliers, sweet lips, and turtles. Kadmat is an ideal diving location because of its gorgeous beaches, lagoons, and plenty of marine life. Water sport aficionados now flock to the island's Scuba Diving Center.
